Is the 1999 printing the only paperback option for Actual Air?

I have been checking out my university library's copy of Actual Air for years now. Just recently started looking for my own physical copy, as I like carrying it around when I travel. It seems that the only paperback options available are from the OG printing.... and are on Ebay for 200+ dollars. Any other options or do I have to stomach the hardcover?

PS someone please (rightly) convince me not to take it and see what the lost book fee is for it

PSPS I recently came across this piece on Tableau Through Shattered Monocle, one of my favorites from the book. The writer articulates her relationship with DB's work in what I feel is a relatable way:

Recs from the Lineup / General Advice?

Hey guys, I'm on the fence about going to iiipoints with my friends this year. They're already going, but tbh I don't know a as much about the lineup as I would like to.

I love Blood Orange (does he perform well?) and Men I Trust. I also do dabble in electro and edm, but I just don't LOVE it in a festival setting. Like I've been listening Yousuke Yukimatsu and Jane Remover while I study for the LSAT. I do also like some of the smaller artists (MGNA CRRRTA, some Nate Sib, Underscores, Bassvictim, etc). I've seen a Bassvictim set before and enjoyed it, but I really don't typically vibe well with straight DJ sets. Which I know is the whole schtick but I'm too broke to not enjoy it.

So basically, I'm wondering how accessible each stage is / if you're able to be kinda picky about who you see. Second, what are some recs from the lineup that yall have based on what I like already? Other than the indie shit, I've always been an experimental hiphop (death grips, some uc stuff, etc) and hyperpop (SOPHIE, dorian electra, etc) person.

How to alter handkerchief hem into jellyfish bottom

I have a thrifted dress that has a handkerchief hem and hangs down on the sides just past my knees. I attached a photo below. It has three layers of a sheer silk and a slip dress underneath that matches the shape of the dress.

Basically, I want to shorten the dress so that it's similar to those jellyfish mini skirts that are really popular right now. In the first photo that I attached, you can see kind of what I'm envisioning. My goal is to have some hanging gathers on the side. I also attached a photo of the "reference" skirt. The only difference being that I don't want the bits to hang down as much, and I want them to be more like big gathers. You can see that in my photo.

ANY advice would be very appreciated! I'm still a novice. I've sewn a couple dresses but none that use silk or are formal. Need to know what my options are here :)))))

Old 2019 AMA from David Berman

Since I just found out that we can longer stalk pylonshadow (Berman's old reddit account), I figured I could put this AMA from DB in 2019. For those that haven't seen it.

Last Minute Studying :(

So, I have spend most of my undergrad (rising senior) under the pretense that I will take a gap year. Now, I am seriously considering bypassing that and taking the August + October LSAT.

As a result (and partially due to my irresponsibility, admittedly), I am severely underprepared. I'm willing to dedicate a LOT of time to studying now, however I don't know where to start.

My raw diagnostic was 164 and I scored almost perfectly even across all sections. I've only taken one extra practice test since then and I scored the exact same haha. So I feel kinda confident about where my starting abilities lie now.

And beyond the Mike Kim trainer book, I'm basically at ground 0. Assuming that I can dedicate 20-30 hours a week, what should my plan vaguely look like? (lmk if I should push for more, or if that'll cause me to crash and burn). I can't afford a tutor/course, I would say that baseline 7Sage is around my affordability rn (I am considering that). What programs are best? I've seen to rely on drills, prep books, and youtube videos instead of 7sage. Any ideas? Is it worth spending a lot of time on fundamentals, or should I focus on practice and review? Help me not spiral!!!

Any advice I much appreciated. Thank you!
