The shirt itself is superb. The quality is excellent, and the design has been reproduced beautifully, capturing all the details of the original. My only minor criticism is the fit. The original shirts from that era, especially those worn by Higuita, were famously oversized and baggy, whereas this replica has a much more modern, tailored cut. That said, I’ve found this to be the case with virtually all retro replicas, so it’s certainly not an issue unique to Merlin.

The QC on this one has taken a while. It’s a big order and he has clearly had some issues filling it due to being slammed with World Cup orders and the law enforcement crackdown on the factories. I have kept the faith and looking at the quality of the shirts it’s been worth the wait.

He contacted me a couple days ago to say he couldn’t get the Deportivo and Portugal shirts but, as you can see from the video, he has managed to source them from somewhere.

One glaring issue. He has put the wrong player on my Portugal jersey (clearly 99% of people ask for Ronaldo and he has engaged auto-pilot). I’ve just told him to ship it though. We can rectify that issue with the next order. The length of time I’ve waited already I don’t want to delay things further and I’m confident I’ll have no problem selling on the RONALDO jersey elsewhere for a little profit.

This is the final review from my recent 5 shirt haul. You should recognise this as the shirt from the infamous David Beckham sending off at France ‘98. Not only that but I have customised it with SIMEONE 8 the villain who provoked Becks. I vividly remember watching that game and being devastated as a football obsessed 12 year-old from England.

So why have I chosen this shirt? Well, now I’m quite a bit older I still support England but, with age I have come to recognise that a significant chunk of the England support are violent coked-up bell ends. I also have a mischievous side that enjoys provoking the coked up bell ends 🤪

None of which has anything to do with the shirt.

It’s a lovely shirt. I particularly like the gold badge and the subtle gold piping on the sleeves, although this doesn’t really show up in my photos.

There was, however, a slight disappointment with this order. As you can see in the last picture, the stitching on the adidas stripes on one sleeve has been poorly finished, and one of the stripes is already starting to come away. Given its condition straight out of the package, I’m concerned that it won’t withstand many washes before the problem worsens. I’ve decided against taking this up with the seller, as I’m confident that my wife can carry out a repair, but I felt it was worth mentioning for the benefit of other potential buyers.

To close out this was my first ever purchase with Green. There were some issues but, overall I have been very satisfied and I’ve already placed an order for 10 more shirts which I’m eagerly waiting for the QC on.

It’s a lovely shirt. I particularly like the gold badge and the subtle gold piping on the sleeves, although this doesn’t really show up in my photos.

There was, however, a slight disappointment with this order. As you can see in the last picture, the stitching on the adidas stripes on one sleeve has been poorly finished, and one of the stripes is already starting to come away. Given its condition straight out of the package, I’m concerned that it won’t withstand many washes before the problem worsens. I’ve decided against taking this up with the seller, as I’m confident that my wife can carry out a repair, but I felt it was worth mentioning for the benefit of other potential buyers.

To close out this was my first ever purchase with Green. There were some issues but, overall I have been very satisfied and I’ve already placed an order for 10 more shirts which I’m eagerly waiting for the QC on.

This is the final review from my recent 5 shirt haul. You should recognise this as the shirt from the infamous David Beckham sending off at France ‘98. Not only that but I have customised it with SIMEONE 8 the villain who provoked Becks. I vividly remember watching that game and being devastated as a football obsessed 12 year-old from England.

So why have I chosen this shirt? Well, now I’m quite a bit older I still support England but, with age I have come to recognise that a significant chunk of the England support are violent coked-up bell ends. I also have a mischievous side that enjoys provoking the coked up bell ends 🤪

None of which has anything to do with the shirt.
