After 6 months of searching, I found a map and plans for the Takoma to Piney Branch segment that will finally complete the Metropolitan Branch Trail. Construction is due to begin fall 2026.

Even though there are enough neighborhood-ish roads to get around the area, there are not enough dedicated bike lanes! I have been almost hit, screamed at, and aggressively tailgated WITH my toddler on back of my bike. I'm so excited for this to be completed.
