What are people paying for insurance on a seal?

I'm in the market for a seal and was looking at insurance the other day. AAMI quotes me 2k for a seal performance.. the real weird thing was that it was 50 bucks more expensive for a seal premium. Triple checked all the details i out in to make sure where the same.

Also found that budget will just not even offer insurance for a performance, but would for the premium.

I'm 44 male by the way with a hail damage claim from March.

But yeah just wondering what prices others are paying for their insurance.... Cheers

Atto 1 first OTA update (V1.1.0)

Our 6 week old atto 1 just got its first OTA update. My partner has the car at work so I'm just wondering if anyone happens to know what was in the update? Or where I can find out?

Cheers

Can you use a 7kw home charger for battery recalibration?

New ev owner.... I see that it's recommended to regularly do a full charge at home to recalibrate the battery.

Just wondering if this is still effective if using a 7kw AC charger?

Not an issue at the moment as we only have the granny charger, but we are looking at getting a second EVnand if we do would be installing a 7kw charger.

Cheers for any and all info.

3 weeks and still no sim data

so we've had our little Atto 1 for 3 weeks now and we still dont have any sim data.

The app on our phones works and we can preheat or cool the car and lock and unlock, see charging states and all that jazz.... but whenever we try to use the store or anything that needs data it still says no connection.

I realise this isnt a huge deal as we will pretty rarely actually use it, but just wondering if this is normal or if we should try contacting BYD for support.

wait time on seal premium

anyone happen to have an idea on the current wait time for a seal premium?

I'm looking into getting one...need to trade my current car which unfortunately is also waiting for hail repairs though insurance. won't be finished till mid July.

just wondering if I should get my order in now and sort out the trade value later if the wait time is long.

in Western Sydney if that changes anything.

anyone have any ideas why when I drive my wife's new atto 1 it tells me to take a break within about a minute of driving?

she says it doesn't warn her at all... but today before I was even 500m down the road it went off...m then straight away went off again but more urgently.

I know we can disable it, but it's a hassle to have to do every drive and weird that it is only doing it to me.

sorry, new car and one more noob question. we can see the status of the car in the byd app on the phone but in the car we can't use anything that needs data. as in we can't activate the navigation or open the app store or anything. (says server error)

when connected to the home wifi it works fine, just not over the cellular.

I've tried resetting the infotainment unit. I can see at the top that it has bars of cellular connection.

so just wondering why? does the fact that we can see the car status on the phone app mean it's working?

also read that it can take a week or 2 for the sim to activate, but does the fact that we can connect with the app mean it's already activated?

many thanks for any insight.
