Bringing spices, food items, cold meds, supplements--how to send

HI All! I know that people say to bring certain things, like spices and cold meds, but I am wondering how I should bring these. Should I bring them in my checked bags on my flight? Or should I pack them in boxes I am shipping (via either UPS or DHL)? Things I want to bring: cold medicines, supplements, spices (Old Bay for sure!), prescription medication, cough drops. And if I'm packing in shipped boxes, am I listing this stuff on my ToR? Thanks for your help!

Do I need to upload my completed Gov.UK Visa Application?

.....also the document checklist, the biometrics confirmation letter & the fee payment confirmation? Should I upload these to VFS?

Where EXACTLY to find the priority service choice on VFS

If you are applying outside the UK and are looking for the £500 priority visa service, like I just did, it is in a box that is labeled "Choose your visa service". The box is populated with the word "Standard", but there is a tiny arrow indicating drop-down choices. Click the arrow and "Priority £500" will show up. I KNOW that many many people have said you can choose priority when you make your biometrics appointment, but finding WHERE that little tiny arrow is almost made my head pop off!!!

Chronology of visa application

Lots of people have great & helpful application tips, but one thing I was looking for that I couldn't find: the chronology or steps of the entire process. So here it is!

  • Fill out the visa application on gov.uk. It will ask you a bunch of questions that will then determine which documents you will eventually need to present. You will need your passport, your sponsor/spouse's passport, and hard numbers of how you are meeting the financial requirement.
  • When you are finished and have submitted the application, you can download your completed application. You will receive a checklist of documents you need to upload to VFS. You need to download that checklist and bring to your biomentrics appointment.
  • Next, you will be directed to the payment page for your NHS fees. After that, you will be directed to the page to pay the UK Visa fee.
  • Next you go to the VFS Global site to make an appointment for biometrics. This is where you can choose to pay £500 for priority visa processing (there are also other add-ons available). You will be directed to download your appointment confirmation letter here. Keep in mind that if you are manually uploading your documents, you must upload them all before your biometrics appointment. If you are paying for them to upload for you, you have to bring all of the documents with you to the appointment.
  • Take your checklist, your appointment confirmation letter, your payment confirmation if you paid for priority processing, and your passport to your appointment.

And then you wait! Although these steps look pretty straightforward, it has taken DAYS and DAYS to get all of my documents formatted so that everything is under 5mb and everything makes sense. It has been a LARGE PITA! If I have missed anything, please add!!! I hope this is helpful : )

Lease says to give notice if gone more than 21 days....?

Hello friends--our lease agreement contains language that says we must notify the landlord if we will be gone more than 21 days. Have you seen this in your rental leases? Thanks!

Question about prior travel & passports

I have my current passport and previous, so evidence of last 12 years of travel, but don't have the passport before that. The visa application asks for all prior travel. How much of problem is this? Do I just make a list of dates of travel and upload, or do I take pics of passport stamps and upload that?
