Petersburg Rives Salient/Fort Mahone questions

I've become fascinated with the IV Corps attack on Apr. 2, 1865. No doubt it was one of the most overlooked actions of the entire war since Warren's men secured the decisive breakthrough and pretty much the entire area was lost to development (probably the most tragic loss of a battlefield). Anyway, does anyone know what battery the Norfolk Blues artillery manned at Rives Salient in 1864?

Secondly, the 48th PA attacked and there seems to be quite a bit of conflicting information. The Col. George Gowen monument (spot where Gowen was felled by an artillery shell) is located much east to where you would expect it to be located. It is documented that a cannon from Fort Mahone fired the shell. The maps published on Emerging Civil War have the 48th sweeping in a much more westerly fashion nowhere near the monument. I know Fort Mahone and Rives Salient were often confused in the post war photography? So how much documentation do we have the 48th actually attacked Fort Mahone or did they actually charge Rives Salient? Maybe the monument was placed in the wrong spot as well or was moved when the area was developed? There's just no way the 48th attacked Fort Mahone from that direction exposing their flank to the batteries or flank fire from Rives Salient. I guess this is the epitome of how it's difficult to interpret the battle if we lose the ground. Thanks for any responses.
