Relocated to town in 2023, first project released with all Philly players, all recorded in town

I relocated from Nashville a few years ago and finally got more than a single put together. I never loved Nashvilles songwriting scene completely. There was lots of work as a songwriter, performer and producer, but the quality of the work around the northeast seems better. Especially as a solo performer. This is the first year in town where my work has outpaced what I was doing down south. I feel like im finally connecting to the scene a bit and want to connect further!

This is my project "A Nice Neighborhood to Have Bad Habbits In" if this isnt allowed in this sub I apologize. Im just really excited about it and wanted to share. I just got it released and wxpn was kind enough to get me into their rotation. Im actively booking for 2027 so if youre looking for an act to fill out a bill, reach out! Im also building out my live band, looking for a consistant cello player and other folk musicians!

Did I make a mistake with this purchase?

Recently started getting into harmonica to add to my sets. I largely play folk music so nothing too crazy as far as licks just yet. I mostly play with a neck holder while playing guitar. I wanted to get a couple decent starting harmonicas that would hold up to gigging (ab 4 times a week). I ended up with a Horner Golden Melody in A and a Marine Band 1896 in G. The Golden Melody is fantastic. Holds up well, no issues, great tone. The Marine band, however, is a problem. Reeds continually getting stuck, both blow and draw, but mainly draw. It was the 6 hole a few times in a row, but now more and more are going that way. Each time I want to fix it I have to do that 'pry up the plate' thing because of the nails. Plinking the reed isnt always enough and every time I get it working again it just feels like a super tentative fix, which sucks when I have multiple gigs and I have to devote time to fixing this every day.

I just want to know, am I doing something wrong? Im still a beginner, so maybe i need to examine my technique? I store them in the box (case?) when not played. I see a lot of folks have issues with the 1896s, before you tell me to, I now know about the deluxe lol. But is my only option to get something else? I was looking forward to expanding to more keys, now it feels like im a little stuck. Thanks in advance
