Can I hear from the other side?

My fiance and I recently purchased our first home ($325k). On a combined income of $235k. It feels comfortable and I’m able to save aggressively (~$65k my first year). And that’s with aggressive renovations. (~$40k). But I desire more when it comes to a neighborhood/property.

I’d like to hear from the other side. People who purchased a home of around $500k-$700k on a comparable income. Is life everything you expected it to be?

Should I prune this off?

This is a red bud tree that is currently about 7 feet tall, I believe they reach 10-15ft tall, I had it planted about 2 weeks ago. I’ve noticed this branch starting to rub pretty harshly against the main stem. The third picture I am actually applying pressure to force them apart for the photo to see the slight indent. I am worried it will start to damage the main stem? Also is my root flair good enough?

I’ve seen this question asked in a few other mid-level subs and am curious how we are doing as a profession in this realm. I am in line to start making ~190k+ as a PIC if I take this new job. Any pharmacists out there making $250k+? And what do you do/how did you get there?
