Hi! Not trying to create major division, genuinely curious how people feel about the city council.

With some of the headlines from WHRO, Virginian Pilot and other local news orgs, the city makes some odd/questionable choices that I feel personally, don’t represent and benefit the entire city.
It feels like the City Council is only focused on the Oceanfront and upkeep of more “rich” neighbourhoods in VB, to the upkeep part though, are these a direct result of HOAs?

Noticed on one re-election sign for a council member is that their signage paid for by their own PAC. It seemed self serving, not community focussed.

Would residents like to see new city council members?

Hi all,
I was hired as seasonal in November 2024 and became a regular team member in January 2025. I dropped down to ODTM in June 25 and have been there since.
Does this mean I do not get a yearly increase as an ODTM? I only noticed the compensation change from my regular $15.50 to $15.89 in April 2026 due to I think an ODTM raise?
Located in VA if that helps. Thanks in advance!
