Went to my local MC here in Dallas. They had a G730 open box for $1,799. Problem was, after 20 mins of looking for it, they couldn't find it. Due to that, they were able to sell me a new G730 for $1,899.
Anyhow, talked to the rep in length for a monitor reco and he recommended strongly against a 4k as the 5070ti will experience significantly low fps. When I mentioned that 4k dual mode monitor, he recommended against that also as I'll only be able to run it either 4k or 1080p.
He said the best monitor would be a 27 inch running at 2k. True, it won't display in 4k like a dual monitor but at least I won't be stuck at 1080p hence his reco for a 2k monitor.
Is this sound advice?
