Is the rim fixable?
I hurt it this morning. We both are crying.I will have the tyre replaced as soon as possible, but the rim?
Is there any kind of cosmetic surgery for this in the UK?

Hi, I'll buy an M50 soon and I'd like to know if you ran into any trouble while miles racked up. There are 0 offers with over 100k km in my country, which makes me wonder about long term reliability. So, if you own one with over 100k km/60k miles, did you run into any issues ?
New feature unlocked. My car no longer displays the correct song info on the main screen. The display in the instrument cluster gets it right, but not the main screen. As you can see in the pic, the car is showing two different songs playing when in fact it’s only one. Anyone else having this issue?
Same parking spot. Same camera. My old F80 last year and my new i4 this year.
Alright y’all can I vent.
Next month will be 2 years with my i4. I just had my first biannual check up. I need new tires and an alignment 😒. The bmw service advisor just told me they strongly recommend doing an alignment every year for their cars, then proceeded to say the alignment is $600.
I don’t know much about cars, but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around that. Why is it that I never needed one with my Camry, focus, and civic? At least within 2 years of purchase. I would get the alignment checked after new tires, but it always came out good. Only once did my civic get adjusted within my 10 years of owning it.
Is this a luxury car thing? Or an ev thing? Is the alignment replacing the oil change lol 😩
My wife and I got this 2025 i4 eDrive 40 last year in November. It was an Irvine BMW Dealership service loaner with 5k miles on it. Got an extremely good deal on it.
The problem… the driver side and passenger side speaker grills rattle. Been driving me insane. I’ve taken it to Irvine BMW 4 times for the issue. They said they couldn’t reproduce it. I gave them a list of tracks and volume levels that causes the grills to rattle. On the 4th dealership visit, they decided to get a BMW NA Representative to look at it. A week later, BMW NA says they can’t reproduce it.
Frustratingly, I took matters into my own hands.. I started pushing on the grill while affected music played. I noticed that if I push moderately hard on a corner piece by the set position switches, the rattle went away. It actually stayed away. Until it got warmer outside. The issue comes right back on hot days, and it’s a pain in the butt to try and get it to stop. It’s so obnoxious. I think if I had taken the car in on a hot day, they would’ve noticed it immediately. I have very sensitive ears, but I notice it immediately while others don’t.
Attached is a photo of where I’ve had success pushing on the metal grill.
Advice?? I’m about ready to take the car to an audio labs shop and pay them to fix the issue BMW should’ve fixed. What are my options? Can I still reach out to BMW NA for this issue? The car is amazing except this one exceptionally frustrating issue 😭

Just picked up an i4 M60, dravit grey, cognac interior!Absolutely loving it, but less than 2 weeks in… well… another driver ran a stop sign and the photo tells you the rest. Hopefully I get my car back… soon…
Side note, i’m surprised that the collision avoidance didn’t really activate (from what I could tell)! Anyone have any feedback for what settings I should enable/look for when I get my car back?
Just picked up this e40 from San Francisco. Drive home to Sacramento was great. I went from an Ioniq 5 to this and the spirited handling was what I’ve been missing since my 325i and 328i over a decade ago.
Originally I was going to ask months ago but was unsure because I was told you could never get out of a lease. So long story short I traded in my Bronco which I was already upside down about 20k because of high mileage. I drove it a lot for work. Fast forward a year into my I4 lease and I’ve somehow fallen on bad times AGAIN and I’m almost at my 3 yr max for miles for my lease only 1 year in. My question to the group. What do you think is the best move in terms of getting out of the lease or getting more miles or any move for that matter. Currently my car payment is double most the ones I’ve seen in this group as I really wanted to get out of the negative equity I had on my previous vehicle so those payments are really kicking my butt. Let me know your thoughts. Be blunt I can take it. Long term I’ve saved on gas, oil changes and so many other things but now I’m struggling considering this economy has kind of put me way behind.
Hi guys,
I’ve been leasing a 2025 i4 in Florida. Lately, whenever I start the AC after getting into the car, I notice a sour smell coming from the vents. It usually goes away after a little while, but it’s really bothering me and I want to get rid of it.
I live in Florida, so the humidity is pretty high, and my car is parked in a garage that’s partially open to the outside. I’m thinking maybe the cabin air filter or something in the AC system got damp and started causing the smell whenever I turn the AC on.
I’m not a car expert, so I wanted to ask if anyone here might know what’s causing it. That way, I can ask the maintenance center to replace or fix whatever’s needed to remove the smell.
Many thanks in advance, beemer friends. 🙏
Hey everyone,
Never leased a vehicle before and want to know if I’m getting a good deal. I know lease deals are not what they used to be, but dealer is giving the traditional recommended discounts from BMW and giving me a decent value on my trade.
Residual value is 55% of MSRP, which is going to be 43250 at the end of 3 years.
What do you guys think?
I’m occasionally seeing strange Level 2 charging behaviour.
When I check the state of charge sometimes it will be lower than expected and the estimated charge completion time will be extended longer than the original estimate. Usually the charge time is extended about 30 minutes.
Then later the state of charge will jump and charge completion time will revert to roughly the original estimate.
I only see this here and there, but I’m also not always checking the charging status all the time, so it may be a regular occurrence.
Almost every charge the charge will complete 10 minutes or so earlier than the original estimate.
Has anyone noticed similar behaviour?
Hi all,
I’m looking at a 2024 BMW i5 loaner with about 8k miles. It has DAPP and the Premium Package, finished in Oxide Grey Metallic. Asking price is $48k on the dealer website.
Curious what you all think — solid deal or should I keep shopping?
Hi everyone, I have a big decision to make and wanted to get some feedback from all of you that has had your i4 long term. I have a 2024 i4 eDrive40 M Sport and my 3 year lease is ending here soon. I was thinking about just buying the car outright and keeping it. It’s still in very good condition with no problems or issues.
I was curious how everyone here who has an i4 is doing with theirs in the long term? I also thought about grabbing a new one if the batteries are better etc but idk the specifics for the newer models as of yet. Obviously I know everyone is different and things do happen and you can’t judge based off one persons experience but would just love to get the general consensus.
Thanks all!
I’ve finally got a wall charger installed into our 3-phase power, although noting it is 22kw capable but the car seems to only charge at 11kw max.
Newby to this, also please let me know if that is a limitation of the car or what’s at play?
i4 e35 in Australia for context
Thanks!!
Should I wait for the values to tank before buying since production is ending? Seems like these don’t hold value well at all so kinda wanting to get one on the low. What do yall think buy now or wait?
