I took a 4motion model for a test drive yesterday. It mostly verified everything people are saying about the capacitive buttons and over reliance on the menu system.

But what surprised me was the turning radius. Online it is claimed to be almost 44 feet. That basically means you can turn around on a 4 lane highway if you go from outside lane to outside lane. Attempting it from the left hand turn lane put me in a surprise multi step turn in traffic.

I guess having the wheels push so close to the ends really hurts it.

Has this been an issue for anyone else?
I’ve been on single lane streets that dead end and require multi step turns in my Subaru. I’m not sure that would be possible in this van. I guess you just back up the length of the street and hope the intersection isnt too busy.

Are there other adjustments folks have had to make in order to make it work?

I also couldn’t get parking assist to recognize the parking spots in the dealership parking lot. I guess the lines were not contrasting enough.

I get that range won’t be an issue for day-to-day driving but in the winter I do a lot of travel in the 225 to 250 mile trips to visit family. We do about eight round trips starting around Thanksgiving and going until the last week of January.

During this time, the temperatures that I commonly encounter are about I’ll say 24° but often much colder.

What would the range be going from 80% to 10% at 70mph so that I can plan my stops?
