From my research, every local jurisdiction does things a little differently with the noise/siren, so I’m curious if anyone knows what DC’s siren policy is? Are they always on while driving or only when there’s something in the road? Bonus points if you’ve lived directly next to a fire station in DC and have some thoughts!!

I’m moving to DC soon and am looking for housing. I came across a couple of units that are an insanely good price (and it looks like it’s because the property recently significantly reduced the price by almost half). What kinds of “catches” should I be prepared for when I reach out? Is there any benefit to the landlord to do this, like do they do this for legit reasons, like having some tenant is better than none?

Anyone have a similar experience that went positively?
