The Kagome as a geisha brainworm has entered my head

Had this idea come into me after daydreaming about a version of Inuyasha where the shikon pearl uses its caretaker as a source of food to grow larger (like oysters coating foreign bodies that enter their shells with their own mother-of-pearl).

Being Midoriko it's creator either by getting a sickness and her power encapsulating it or whatnot.

But because mikos are not oysters the shikon pearl acts on as a parasite that feeds off their ki and it affects the human body (Kikyo being pale and skinny even tho the temple feed her well). And as the series passes by the constant purification of the pearl begins to affect Kagome in a more severe way than previous caretakers who simply kept the pearl stable and functional. Higurashi in this case would be cleansing the fragments of the pearl of poison/impure desires from multiple demons, as well as HER own negative emotions that would permeate the pearl. Which is something that does not happen in the series as much as i remember. This would create a greater need for Kagome to be a caregiver rather than a warrior, which is what I assume was Takahashi's intention when writing her. And it would calm the public's negative perception when she doesn't fight, wahoo.

Now the geisha part. 1 or 2 of Kagomes teeth start rooting regardless of her care blablabla because of the pearl, the pearl is eating her from the inside out blablabla. Thats when I got the idea to draw her as a geisha. Because hey, you can hide that with the black teeth, and also the black tint in the semi-feudal times of Rumiko's fictional universe could not only actually exist, but help with the cavities bcs from what i know the traditional black teeth tinte helped with oral hygiene. Wahoo!!!

And also it would have been dope to have a geisha Kagome lure Naraku in within the pearl and then BAM Inuyasha and her beat his weird ahh

In short: what differentiates them beyond the drawing style is their bone structure.

Ranma has more cheekfat* than cheekbones, which makes his head (regardless of hair color) look like a potato, he has bright, round and open eyes with higher sampaku (The sclera (white part of the eye) is visible at the top of the eye). Big ears, as the manga goes on his eyebrows look like a comma pointing downwards on the inside and his nose becomes a nub. Fringe doesnt go lower than the higher lashline. Braid is thinner, which means that his haircut has a Lot of layers on the top to create that volume. Diminishing it at the bottom, as it was the trend in the 80s. 100% either has wavy hair that saves him time on styling or uses a round brush for volume.

Sakura has a more square face, which indicates a stronger facial structure (more cheekbone). Her eyes go downwards, her ears are tiny and her hair is thicker. She doesnt have that much cheeks, and her eyebrows* are overplucked and curved as it was the trend of the 2000s. Her eyes are more square shaped too. Meanwhile her hair is thick at the top it's still thick at the bottom, which means that she doesnt have layers. Neck is thinner i think idk. Her design is spiky. Which could mean that she doesnt use round brushes but uses a hair straightener for her fringe. Her hair is canonly wavy.

Because every time the drawing style changes, one thing remains very clear: the faces don't stay the same as in the previous style. Rather, they all look like the latest addition to her art catalog.

So I just choose the Best faces for the imaginery i have in my head. And in that way they don't have the same face syndrome.

My opinion isn't universal, sp what do you guys think are the best faces of each character?

I got inspired by a post in here that was talking about the ages the Rumic World Characters would have today in 2026 based on their manga vs their animations... So I did a fanart (second image, i'll do more of the RUMIC world characters. Maybe Ranma or Lum).

I just love Sakura Mamiya and Kyoukai no rinne in general. It's my favorite anime ever since I was a kid! (I've attached evidence in the last image; it's an old fanart from 2017 that I made on my phone from back then in medibang, issued by the government with 1GB of RAM).

As you can see I made her a 32 year old (because the manga was first posted in 2009 and she was 15 within it) banker that drinks with Rokudou Rinne and Jumonji Tsubasa rather than a wife. Mostly because I just didn't think that such a life would fit her, and also because her dad is a banker and even though we don't see him I figured she doesn't have any animosity against him that would make this design decision a bunch of tomfoolery.

And following the canon, she's rather smart within her classroom but she's not the smartest. If I remember well, within the girls she's only second to Shima Renge. This was an episode of the manga where they had like a relay race and they had to exorcise a ghostly boy who liked relay races, but had the horrible luck that whenever he wanted to participate in one he was chased by the rain. Unfortunately, Anette-sensei tried to use this situation to cancel the event at the request of the students in the class who didn't want to participate in sports. Sakura, Tsubasa, Rinne, and Renge were grouped together to represent the class because they were... The greatest, if that makes sense. So I assume she's not bad in math and it's something easy-peasy-lemon-squeasy for her.

As usual, I drew the big three together having in mind the headcanon that they still hang around when each has time for it. The only difference is that I believe that now that they're older they would get drunk. For fun. Yippie. This is my way of I'd like to introduce myself to the community and make friends here.
