Hi! I am making my first sourdough starter and I am now on day 4. On day 2, my starter doubled! I was so shocked that it happened that fast. After it doubled, it went back down and has not risen since. I am concerned? I am still feeding it, but I am confused as to why it doubled and is now not rising at all.
The picture is from early day 2, before it had doubled completely.

My mom had total knee replacement done almost 2 years ago and her knee still hurts just about the same as before she had it done. Now this bump has appeared and it feels very hard, almost like bone. She has lots of IT band irritation as well. Knee still swells a lot.
