i have never played alan wake or control but i’m thinking about picking up alan wake 2 today. is there anything i have to know? is this a bad idea?

UPDATE:
i started alan wake 2 and about 3 minutes in i decided AW1 was worth the 13 dollars. i’m playing the remaster now, only about an hour in. thanks for all the advice! alan wake fans sure are passionate
