So many things in Moonvale don’t make sense (a little vent)

I was actually going to wait to play Moonvale until the game was finished, but then I realised at this rate it’s gonna be a few years so I started anyway.

Now I came to the first mini games….what purpose do they even serve for the gameplay? In DW it was introduced as “hacking”, so it made sense for the story. But here it’s just…there? Like are we just doing a little bit of Candycrush in between dialogues with unmemorable characters?
Same with the secret chats, it doesn’t make sense here. Especially if you take into consideration that some people didn’t play DW, so they don’t even know that in DW Jake enabled us to see other people’s chats.
For some reason this really bugs me, so many things don’t make sense.

I really wish they kept the same level they had in DW. I can’t find any of the immersive storytelling or atmosphere in Moonvale.

I am aware that a project like this takes a lot of time, resources and dedication, but what I have seen so far feels like a half hearted attempt to put in minimal effort while getting maximum revenue.

F25 | Looking for friends here on Reddit or Discord

Hello everyone!

I’m trying to be more social, which is unfortunate because my natural state is being quietly absorbed by whatever hobby has captured my attention this month.

Right now that hobby is playing piano. I started learning recently and have become slightly obsessed. If you hear distant, repetitive piano notes, that’s probably me trying to decipher sheet music.

Other interests include:
📚 Reading
🌱 Gardening
🥾 Hiking
🦈 Sharks (important enough to deserve its own category)
🎮 Nostalgic games like Animal Crossing, Star Stable, and Undertale. I also like story based games like Hogwarts Legacy or The Last of Us

I’m generally more of a calm, one-on-one conversation person than a party person. I like talking about hobbies, random facts, books, games, and whatever strange rabbit hole someone has fallen into recently.

If you’re also the kind of person who can accidentally spend an hour talking about a niche interest, feel free to message me.
