Priority
Despite all the obvious negatives, how much financial sense does it actually make for a driver to have to go so out of the way to (probably) deliver to someone who paid for priority? A 5 minute delivery isn’t taking 35 minutes because there isn’t someone closer to pick it up but because they let a driver match with someone else 15-20 minutes away after my order was in progress! (?)
I doubt this helps the drivers.
I ordered a friend pizza from literally across the street of their home as a surprise treat and the driver got matched with someone 20 minutes away with priority, making a one-block trip take 45 minutes!

The psychology of this fear-based tactic is BIZARRE
Found this junk mail I got a little while back. Mind you, I have voted consistently blue and this letter is just straight up BS. Spam email energy. I don’t know what kind of awful targeting tech this company is but I can only imagine how much money they’re wasting on sending to the completely wrong demographic, not to mention all the paper and fuel, ugh
I read the emails he sends are even more unhinged

Volkswagen “Eyes on the Road” — Hong Kong cinema activation
Interesting experiential marketing example from Volkswagen/Ogilvy.
Campaign: Eyes on the Road
Brand: Volkswagen
Agency: OgilvyOne Beijing / Ogilvy Beijing
Location: Hong Kong
Year: 2014
Format: Cinema road-safety PSA
The activation ran in a Hong Kong cinema.
It used a location-based broadcaster to send a message to phones inside the theater.
The final PSA message included: “Mobile use is now the leading cause of death behind the wheel.”
The campaign reportedly passed 18 million views in its first week and later exceeded 20 million views.
It received awards recognition at Spikes Asia 2014, including recognition for special events, stunt/live advertising, screens, and mobile.
There was also a plagiarism dispute: The Guardian reported that Happiness Brussels said the idea resembled its 2009 campaign “Let it Ring.” OgilvyOne Beijing denied plagiarism.
Simple idea, strong execution.
Curious how people here think this holds up today. Still a great behavior-change activation, or more of a 2014-era shock/stunt format?
