Coffee shop curators needed
A friend and I travel a lot, both personally and for work. For years, we’ve talked about how difficult it is to find genuinely good coffee shops in a new area. I’m sure you know the drill: search Reddit for “best coffee shop in X,” search Google Maps, and then try to figure out whether the good ratings are for the coffee or for the food and syrup-heavy drinks.
We’ve often talked about creating an opinionated, curated coffee shop app that only includes places where you’re guaranteed to get a great third-wave coffee. He finally built it.
I won’t name it here, as I don’t want to fall foul of this subreddit’s promotion guidelines. The app and its curation are a labor of love, with no ads or in-app purchases.
What we do need is to make the app genuinely useful. At the moment, we’ve focused on building listings for Atlanta, USA, where he lives, and Paris, France, where I live.
We’re looking for curators who would be interested in taking responsibility for specific cities or regions by submitting and approving coffee shops from the community. If you have a bit of time to help put some great shops on the map, please let me know.
