Observing fast for tithis. When the timings fall 50/50 for two days, should i fast according to the hours of the tithi or do i pick one particular day?

Previously we'd have the option to buy paracetamol tablets only as much required. My local med shop handed me an entire pack as Rule last year. And today as I check it, it's expiring next month. WTH am i supposed to do with 17 paracetamols in one month now?
