Hiya!

Just thought to ask if anyone has experienced their first seizure as an adult from fever? Without having any past with childhood febrile seizures?

I was pretty sick during christmas time and had a high fever (over 39C) for 4 days straight, and had a seizure on christmas eve morning. A doctor said my CT scan was clear and that the episode seemed to have happened due to the fever. I didn't think much of this diagnosis initially, but after trying to look into it more, many sources seem to imply febrile seizures happen purely in smaller kids only.

This kind of confused me, so I would love to hear if anyone else has experienced something similar? Or maybe share if they have any sources or information regarding this. Thanks!
