The Trailblazers have always had a large Reclusium, but therr librarium is close in size. Every battle brother is a psyket in some shape or form , but only a select few are permitted to become librarians. The potential librarians are always tested for purity of spirit by the Reclusiarch and the Cheif Librarian. If the candidate passes the test, they will go under intense training under every psychic discipline. They of course must show promise in a discipline to be trained in it

The librarians of the chapter are held in a similar reverence as the chaplains, but some brothers fear their power. It is common for a librarian to feel othered as while his brothers respect him , they often keep them at a distance. The librarians of the chapter seem to be experts in biomancy and pyromancy

Purpose

These battle brothers are often deployed into battle to recover any wargear from fallen allies , and often act as bodyguards for techmarines. Due to the zealous nature of the nature, the Reclusium is rather expansive. The Techmarines and sohei are meant to embody the ominsiah, so they are often used for repairing equipment. The sohei are tasked with mastering as many weapons as possible, so they can be more versatile in combat. These warriors have been known to carry a variety of combi weapons and even chapter relics within their arsenal

Design

The Sohei are often clad in mars red robes with the mechanicus symbol adorned on their robes. The sohei don't necessarily have ranks, but the senior members are often heavily augmented to carry more weapons/become weapons

Kensei

The kensei are an unique unit within the Trailblazers Reclusium. These marines take a vow of silence and are armed with a relic power odachi. When deployed, the Kensei are expected to perform a sword dance to the rhythm of a chaplain's hymns. This is meant to boost troop morale , and break enemy wills. The kensei are clad in white armor with black robes to mimick ancient terran depictions of the grim reaper

Sohei

The sohei are an unique within the Trailblazers Reclusium as they have devoted themselves as war machines for the Omnisiah. These marines replace a majority of their flesh with augments, and carry a personally armory of weapons. Sohei are often outfitted with mechadendrites to carry weapons , and are responsible for recovering equipment from fallen battle brothers. A sohei is often deployed alongside techmarines and vehicles to ensure their safety

Summary

The Trailblazers heil from the planet,Caldera, and are a deeply zealous brotherhood of astartes. Their home planet is deeply rich with minerals, and was the world's only way of trading. The planet was also host to a sect of the imperial cult believing the Emperor and his sons were all gods, who were responsible for every fortune granted to them. The Emperor and his 9 loyal sons are seen as venerable , but the 9 traitors are seen as evil spirits.

The chapter covets a rare minera,Beljuril,from their planet that possesses amazing properties. This mineral can be used to enhance psychic gifts , burned as fuel , and is believed to possibly hold the spirits of the dead. The Trailblazers often collect this material to imbed them into their armor, weapons, and sometimes into themselves

I'm asking these questions because recently I went back and looked at one of the most interesting warhammer fan projects. The successor chapters as Legions by Jacob King

The Seige of Hel left a deep wound upon the chapter's pride. The survivors of the seige wanted one thing more than life itself, vengeance. When the chapter managed to properly recover their losses, they would split into two major forces. The reserve companies who would stay behind to defend Hel , and the battle companies who have launched a vengeance crusade

The Onyx Yetis fleet would hunt down the Word Bearers to have their debts settled in heretic blood. After a year , the Yetis had tracked down Lorgar's bastards in their flagship. The marines would waste no time , and had immediately pursued a full force boarding action

The metal of the heretic ship would scream as the bulkheads were shattered. The battle brothers had breached from five different points of the ship , and had begun a campaign of bloody slaughter. The sounds of chaos slaves being reduced to viscera echoed throughout the ship , but would be overshadowed by the barking of bolters.

The chapter would only cripple and maim the heretic astartes as they would herd them to their command center. When all the heretics were in position, a battle brother would place a teleporter homer at their feet. In a crackle of hot lightning and frigid air, the Abominables would descend upon the heretics ripping them apart in moments. The foul sorcerers who tried teleporting away would find themselves riddled with cold bolter fire and frozen in place ,so they could be saved for last.

Once every heretic is dead, the metallurgist will collect any wargear worth reforging, take ammo, and plant melta charges to destroy the vessel. The Onyx Yetis have successfully pursued the Word Bearers everywhere they choose to roam except for the warp. They refuse to give the heretics even the hope of an advantage

Origin & Purpose

This bolter variant was made from an ancient STC found within the Onyx Yetis fortress monastery, Kunzang. The STC held many weapon templates that employed the use of cryogenics. The chapter uses this variant in their standard procedures of war for one bloody purpose, and that's to stall enemy retreats. The Yetis are known for the brutal and bloody combat tactics, and this bolter has helped them in their gruesome hunts.

A cryogenic bolter is meant to impede movement after the bolter's intial detonation, and induce a severe case of hypothermia. An enemy hit by this devastating payload is often caught by a battle brother soon after , but if they' were to escape. They wouldn't survive for long

This auxiliary force consists of exceptional serfs and citizens of Hel Primus , and some rehabilitated prisoners from Hel Secondus. These men and women specialize in gurellia warfare were formed in response to the siege of Hel. They are outfitted in a mix of planetary defense force war gear and serf armaments
