who is this duckling?
this baby was brought in to my job at a vet hospital. i know it’s harder to tell when they’re still so young but any insight would be great! don’t think it’s a mallard due to the lack of black stripe. some coworkers thought it could be a gosling. disclaimer: this is not a confirmed wild animal, it was most likely released by humans in some capacity or escaped from a meat market potentially. it was found on a busy city street in Philadelphia with no bodies of water nearby.
