Thyrotoxicosis + ultrasound suggests thyroiditis, but I was prescribed Methimazole 10mg

Hi, I’m 24F and recently had thyroid tests because of neck swelling. My blood test results were:

TSH: 0.002 (0.27–4.2)

FT3: 6.94 (2.0–4.2)

FT4: 2.1 (0.9–1.75)

My thyroid ultrasound showed an enlarged left thyroid with increased echogenicity and normal vascularity, while the right side was described as avascular. No nodules or focal abnormalities were found. There was one right cervical lymph node (1.3 × 0.6 cm). The radiologist's impression was “thyroiditis with associated right cervical lymphadenopathy.” However, the doctor I visited said I have hyperthyroidism and he prescribed Methimazole 10 mg, and I haven't had a TRAb/TSI test, so I don't know whether I have Graves' disease. My question is, does this sound more like Graves' or thyroiditis, and does prescribing Methimazole make sense given the ultrasound findings? Should I ask for other investigations before continuing treatment or just take the meds for now? He says we'll do another blood test after a month of taking the medication. Please advise.
