Positano for an extended stay with my family?
Looking for a gut check about Positano for my family of five — me, my husband, and our three kids ages 10, 12 and 15. The kids love to travel, we are adventurous and we know Positano is breathtaking. We want to stay for 10 days and just live slow and enjoy the culture and beauty. I know it’s touristy but we are pretty good at forging our own path, and also it’s touristy for a reason (gorgeous).
BUT! I want opinions. Am I nuts to consider this? I’ve seen photos of the crowds and plan to steer clear of the lower areas of town when the day trippers/cruise shippers roll in. I booked a place to stay that’s higher up in the hopes of avoiding a lot of the congestion and enjoying the beaches/waterfronts before and after the big boats visit. Our trip would be in late June / early July 2027. Thank you for honest input!
