Scott’s vocal parts live
I don’t know if this has been brought up before, but as happy as I am with Aaron in the band, and as incredible as the new album is, I cannot stop thinking about what the upcoming live sets are going to be like. How are they going to do the old songs? Steve seems to be channeling Scott’s tone on the new record, but their traded vocal patterns in live sets would seem difficult to manage alone. And Aaron’s vocals are soooo different. I love what he’s brought to the new material, but I can’t see him singing Scott’s parts to the same effect. My dream would be to have Nate Newton handle Scott’s vocal parts. He has such a similar tone and delivery. I think he would kill it and free Steve up to do what he does with full power. Imagine Neurosis with Nate and Aaron on board live. It’s not a crazy idea given Aaron and Nate’s musical relationship. Thoughts?
