(17M) RHR has been around 80bpm my whole life. Now 60bpm this past week.

So, as the post says, for practically my entire life (or as far back as my memory and my medical records go) my heart rate has stayed in the mid 80s.

Never lower, even if I tried my hardest. But for some reason (which I struggle to understand) it has been in the low 60s for the past week. Sometimes it even feels like it'll be in the high 50s (I can't confirm this). Yes I still experience my typical POTS symptoms but there are also some days where I have POTS symptoms upon standing but my heart rate does not change all that much, going from 65>85 upon standing. Though lately I am in my high 110's-120's when standing.

I don't think this is related but the couple of days before any of this started I spent several minutes breathing lavender and rosemary herbs without halt.

Anyone ever experienced this? No new symptoms. Just somewhat concerned but please let me know

Since 2021 I have experienced your usual POTS symptoms following a diagnosis of Hypermobile EDS. 40bpm increase, dizziness upon standing, vision fading to black, pulsations throughout body etc.

But as of lately these symptoms seem to have worsened dramatically. I drink 5-7 sixteen ounce bottles of water per day and have an above average salt intake. I'm not sure where to go about this since sometimes it is so debilitating that walking normally isn't possible.

Part of this has me doubting whether or not I've acquired a separate condition since then, but who knows. Below I'll list everything I experience in order to see if anyone deals with the same

What I experience upon standing:

- Minor dizziness

- Pulsations throughout body, mostly head or neck

- Somewhat painful squeezing sensation in center of chest?

- Heart rate from 80-90 - 120bpm

- Vision fades to black, never pass out

- Heart dramatically slows and palpitates hard upon sitting after standing, accompanied by squeezing sensation

- Palpitations or arrhythmic like patterns (slow to fast increase every handful of seconds during walking)

- Blood pools to lower extremies and burns horrifically, most prevalent in feet. Accompanied by redness and sweating

So yeah, there are the most prevalent symptoms. I must admit that these worsen DRAMATICALLY if I'm highly stressed, anxious, or have terrible trapped gas and GI issues.

The reason why I Included most of these is due to the fact that I have never met anyone else who experiences them with POTS. My last cardiologist checkup (October 2025) was otherwise normal, but the EKG listed "Left Atrial Enlargement" which the doctor promptly brushed off as I had no symptoms, and an echocardiogram just a few years earlier.

If anyone knows how to help please DM or reply to this post! Thanks
