Please forgive me if this is a dumb question, but it’s been months of free trains and I haven’t delved into the new app beyond adding a World Cup card to it like yesterday.

But am I correct in that the app is just primarily a balance management tool for your physical card? Like the old app generated the QR code and you paid the fare through the app. Unless I missed something, that doesn’t seem like a thing anymore.

I’m on Apple, and adding the breeze card to the Apple wallet also seems simply to want to create a new breeze card, not connect an already-existing card.

Anyway, what am I missing?

Email I just got from MARTA. I love how this kind of implies that there are new gates and Breeze machines system-wide, while the reality is that most everywhere doesn't have them.

At the rate they're going, I expect my daily commute to be free for months.
