Frontier app mobile experience is genuinely horrible

  • They apparently only allow check in through the mobile app. Unfortunately the mobile app itself is so glitchy. I don’t know why they created this limitation when the app has lots of bugs. why force users through one path? And that one path itself doesn’t have all the bugs fixed? I did read that there is some work around through the web app (May or may not exist), but why are you making this so difficult?
  • when I bought a ticket for my wife and I and when it came to check in time (about 2 weeks ago), whenever I tried putting her KTN number (for tsa pre) and frontier miles number I always encountered errors that would not allow me to get past this section for check in. I just decided to not put this Information for my wife after multiple tries and was able to get through
  • Even when I want to go to the “profile” section of the app I sometimes get this screen that happens to load forever. If I somehow get past that and want to go to the “account info” screen, I also get this forever loading screen.

It doesn’t seem like they do thorough testing before deploying new versions of app? Are they not thoroughly testing through all possible workflows before they deploy a new version?

This might be one of the worst apps I have used that has been published by a big company. I always get worried when using an app like this, and that’s an odd feeling to have in 2026.
