Pioneer PLX-1000 vs Pioneer PLX-CRSS12
need some advice from people who actually do turntablism / scratch seriously.
I’m 15 and my main focus is:
turntablism
scratch
workshops
routines
content creation
mixing
possibly performing on stage in the future
Current setup:
DJM-S9
Rane Twelve (so I already have a digital second deck)
Now I’m stuck between:
2x Pioneer PLX-1000
OR
1x Pioneer PLX-CRSS12
If I get the CRSS12, I’d use it as my main scratch deck and keep the Rane Twelve as the second deck for mixing/digital control.
Important:
I mostly scratch on deck 1 anyway
I do want to Hip-Hop mix too, but mostly digitally
I don’t really do long vinyl-only mixes
I care about scratch feel, performance, workshops, reliability, transport, and long-term use
I like real vinyl feel, but the CRSS12 seems practical for modern turntablism
I also plan to use Ortofon VNL
Would you personally go:
2x PLX-1000
or
1x PLX-CRSS12 + Rane Twelve?
And why?
