Lough Tay looking very photogenic this afternoon

Cycled a loop from Enniskerry to Luggala and back today. Got rained on of course, but rode by Lough Tay at just the right moment.

2 x [McLaren 570S], [Porsche Cayman GT4] spotted in Betws-y-Coed, Wales

The orange one had 570S on the sill; the yellow one did not have a badge, but I think it's also a 570S. Appreciate any correction. (Aftermarket wing on yellow?)

Synology DS224+ crashing repeatedly with no log evidence -- anyone seen this?

I have a Synology DS224+ NAS running DSM 7.3.2-86009 Update 3 that has been crashing repeatedly over the past month. The unit (which is less than a year old, with brand new Synology drives) runs 24/7 in my empty house while I'm long-term away in another country, making physical access difficult and requiring me to call in a favor for a power cycle each time it goes down.

The crashes leave no useful evidence -- the DSM Log Center shows nothing around the crash times, /var/log/messages has no entries for the crash periods (the log simply stops and resumes after the reboot), and dmesg shows only benign SATA negotiation errors on the reboots. S.M.A.R.T. tests on both drives come back healthy. When my friend visited to power cycle the unit, all front LEDs were green, so apparently the NAS thought it was running normally but was completely unreachable on the network (EHOSTUNREACH). Active Insight shows the device going offline but has no pre-failure metrics or warnings to offer.

As I write this, the NAS is down for the 3rd time in the space of a month. Before this latest event, I had set up a weekly scheduled reboot via Task Scheduler as a possible mitigation, which has run successfully for 2 or 3 weeks, but this latest crash happened the day before it was scheduled to reboot. I'm also thinking about adding a smart plug for remote power cycling since it's a real hassle for my friend to have to go fix this for me.

The NAS is used primarily for file shares and Hyper Backup to Backblaze B2. I also have a DS124 on the same network that the 224+ also backs up to, which has never once crashed. Has anyone experienced similar unexplained hard crashes on a DS224+ or other recent Synology models, particularly where the unit appears healthy from the outside but is completely unresponsive on the network? Any advice or thoughts on what I can do to monitor or prevent these crashes?

(Also, I ran a DS214 (I think that was the model) for 6-8 years and never had these kinds of issues. I only upgraded to the 224+ because I felt like my original unit was getting a little long in the tooth.)

TLDR: Newish DS224+ halting mysteriously with no information about what's causing the crashes. I'm long-term remote from the unit, so I have to have a friend go reboot it when it happens. Frustrated.

Wet Leg at Trinity Summer Series

Great show last night; they opened up with "catch these fists" and closed with "mangetout," and I think played all of moisturizer and more between. Crowd was totally into it and the band sounded great. "you and me at home" was a favorite. Started to rain about 2 minutes before they went on... what can you do. Thankfully it was pretty light and although it was constant, it eventually tapered off.

Super easy in and out of College Park, and then it was over to O'Donoghue's for a pint before heading home.

Florence + The Machine at Marlay Park, 28 June

What a great night for an outdoor show. My first time to Marlay Park, and I have to say thanks to this sub for preparing me for travel. Took the Luas to Dundrum and Marathon shuttle bus to park; couldn't have been easier. (Of course living along green line sure helps).

As a recent escapee from the US, I also have to comment on food/drink prices. We had a very modest amount: 3 alcoholic beverages, a large fry, and 3 ice creams. Total spent: €38.50. In the US, this would have easily been 3x as expensive. It's truly insane what they charge for food/drink at American venues. (And let's not even get into ticket pricing)

Anyway, would definitely go to another Marlay show; just need to have a night as beautiful as last night!

Luas 5037

Finally caught a ride on Luas tram 5037 today. I was in the last car which must not have been damaged, because it felt pretty 'original.' Frayed baffle between cars, chipped paint on the handholds, dirty floors, etc. Anyway, it was a smooth ride. Welcome back 5037.

Need Vegan AND Gluten Free recommendations

Daughter & fam are visiting in July, and they are vegan+gluten-free. Believe me, I know that's a tough combo to find... anyone have any recommendations or guidance for restaurants around Dublin that can work? Also looking for a Vegan/GF bakery since the grandchild will be having her 2nd birthday here. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Thank you all so much for these recommendations!! We'll check them out and I'm sure now we'll be able to show the kids a good time food-wise.
