Doctors dismissing my symptoms because I’m vegan

I’m so tired of doctors acting like I shouldn’t be vegan. It’s always at least a 5 minute conversation about eating eggs and milk.

I’ve seen multiple doctors recently because I think I have post sepsis syndrome. I’m super fatigued, weak, clumsy, have sharp pain in my bones, my skin feels like it’s bruised, joint pain, etc. I didn’t feel this way until I got out of the hospital after having severe sepsis (8 weeks ago). They always dismiss me saying I must be anemic… I tell them I was anemic before, years before I was vegan, and I didn’t feel this shitty. Then they say it’s because I’m breastfeeding.

All of my levels are great, I got my results yesterday. I haven’t had any issues with my bloodwork except for while I was pregnant, while I was being treated for sepsis (lots of IV fluids), and before being vegan. Even when I got out of the hospital my levels were within normal range although a bit lower. Now they’re great. It feels like they’re not taking my health seriously because of my morals. I feel so unheard and don’t feel like I’m getting any help

Vegan foods that help with milk supply

I just had my first baby 8 weeks ago. I’ve been vegan for 5 years. My daughter is extremely healthy and gaining weight fast. Recently my milk supply hasn’t increased with her feeding needs. Luckily I had some frozen but I’d like to stay away from formula if possible. I’d also like to have enough to be able to leave her with someone.

What are some vegan foods that helped you guys produce more? I’ve been eating a lot of oats and drinking a little less than 2 gallons of water a day.

I think the main problem is I’m not getting enough calories. Not because I’m vegan, but I have no appetite. I have to force myself to eat and I try to make it as high calorie as possible. Any advice is appreciated!
