Currently building a barndominium and there is a gap between the siding and porch ceiling. Is this common or will it cause an issue down the line?

Edit: for clarification this is the transition between the porch ceiling and a wall. Similar gaps on the whole barndominium including where the siding meets the soffit and the gable ends.
