does preply punish tutors profile when a student subscription is canceled after a short term? if yes, how long is this period?

i had about 10 lessons with this young student who after a while couldn't keep up with paying for a private tutor anymore, everything was good and they even gave me a 5 star review. assuming that they was sincere, would the algorithm still punish me for this early drop? does anybody now how does it work?

Student books 5 classes per week, attends one and postpones the others because they don't want to "lose hours"...how do you deal with them?

I have this student who keeps booking slots without logic, once they booked 5 slots in a day, just to cancel them the day before, then they postponed them all to the next week, one slot per day (which they will never attend)...how do i deal with such behaivour? I explained them the situation and explained quite explicitly that they should only book classes that they want to attend. If they dont listen, is a block the only solution?

Anomous review count

I was randomly looking through other tutors profile...i stumbled upon a tutor that has 3000+ hours and only 23 anonymous reviews.

Me i have about 500 hours and the same number of anonymous reviews...how so?

How punishing is hiding your tutor profile once you make it visible again?

i'm currently focusing on my current students and i have hidden my profile...have you done it for a prolonged period of time? (i did it probably 2 weeks ago...) how was the difference once you made it visible again? does preply punish this behaivour or is it ok?

Do i need to create a new "buiness account" once i start paying taxes on the amount i earn on Preply?

i heard this story from another tutor that started off as a regular account, but than they had to create a new "business account" once they started earning good money and pay taxes on it...needless to say they lost all their old stats and hours...do all tutors need to go throught this when they start becoming professionals and paying taxes from preply?

What's up with the suggested tutors on my profile preview?

whenever i go see my provile preview, at the end of the page i always find the same 4-5 tutors that teach my same thing, they are always the same, and they are shown as "you might also like" . I wonder why preply does that, specifically why does it always show those 5 tutors. Is Preply going to suggest those same profiles to students who look up my profile? is there a logic behind that?

Had a bad anonymous review and i dont know how to deal with it

I dropped from an average of 4.9/5.0 to 4.7/4.6 after one anonymous review.... the most annoying thing is that i dont know where did i do wrong since i have no direct feedback from the student

Im trying to figure it out but this really hurt, i guess its because i dont know what is the problem and how to solve it...

Any suggestions from more experienced tutors are appreciated...

can a student leave more than one anonymus review? or do they get to update them after each class?

i feel like i have more anonymous review than students...this feels a bit off and i'd like to know when and how often do students get to leave them

Sono finito in un'azienda del cavolo? Aiuto commerciale

Profile views are gong down as i'm always fully booked, is it a dead end or will things get better once i free-up / add space?

my views have gone down by almost 50%, i've been fully booked for a month or two. I am not complaining of course because this is a good situation i'm in. I wonder though: if students gradually leave, will the profile visibility get better and will i be able to recover? Have you ever had this ups and downs in your profile or am i doomed to become a low views profile? (i've been on preply since january)
