WHO THE FUCK IS USING THAT SHIT BESIDES THE CEO’S TINY DAUGHTER??!?!?!?!?!?! NO ONE LIKES IT!!! IT’S WORTHLESS!!!

I cannot believe he’s actually said such a thing. I’m honestly shocked. So your TINY daughter is using c.ai on YOUR account and quite literally DICTATING EVERY UPDATE FOR US, yet the other minors on this app have to give age verification or get stuck in reading mode? As well as us adults? What??? Why would you do that? Your daughter is NOT at an appropriate age to even THINK about using AI, I don’t think she’d even have the brain capacity to do that yet, let alone USE IT. Her brain is going to be melted by the time she is 18. Why are you sacrificing everyone else’s enjoyment and money just because she’s your daughter and you don’t know how to parent? That is so unbelievably selfish it makes me want to cry with frustration and anger. How downright STUPID do you have to be to handle a company like this. Jog on.

Because I am. It’s almost been 2 full weeks since the site has been remotely enjoyable. Any of you who say differently, your standards are far too low. Like… the bar is BEYOND Hell.

We ARE c.ai’s income, we deserve better for that. Yeah, they don’t really owe us anything, especially the free users. BUT! Why should we settle for such a devastating downgrade just because we’re technically not entitled to their respect nor their full potential? WE use the site and WE keep it going. We need to ENJOY our experience using the site in order to stay using it. If everyone truly all left, the site would fade away.

It relies on us! So why are we always stuck waiting for it to improve!? Why are we always forced into terrible updates like our experience as (sometimes paying) users doesn’t matter at all!?

REAL PEOPLE made this site, and I expect it to feel that way. That should be the bare minimum, and I can tell you right now that with this latest version… it isn’t anywhere near the bare minimum. Not even grazing it. It feels awfully cold and perfectly sterile, and every bot acts exactly the same as if the word “personality” just lost all meaning. It feels like a machine that eats people’s money and time, and it never gives anything worthy in return anymore.

Quite frankly, it’s sad as all hell. It used to be so much fun, so *worth* spending money on it to gain access to the cool quirks and super high quality features. It never used to be like this. It was one of a kind, and now it’s becoming exactly what we all feared it would become; extremely repetitive, extremely difficult to enjoy and extremely spark-less. It’s a clone now.

What’s worse is that it’s completely usable still, but the quality is just absolutely god-awful to the point where it’s putting everyone off. There’s nothing special about it anymore. And what’s even WORSE? We’ve all learnt to expect disappointment no matter what regarding any future updates, rather than let ourselves be excited. Because we know that’s naive now that the site has become what it is. We immediately know we’ll be let down, we don’t even think twice about it.

This is the SECOND time I, personally, have had to wait for ages just to have a good experience on the app, and the first time I ended up counting over 50 days straight before dropping the app out of frustration.

I do NOT want to have to wait that long again! I have this app installed to chat with my own bots that I took time and effort to create for myself and others, not to play this same old waiting game.

You might as well rename it to Wait.ai at this point.

I hate how ungrateful I sound, but Jesus Christ… what the hell is taking so long. I just want the site to go back to normal, or at least make it so my bots talk and act like how they’re supposed to. And make everything sound less like ChatGPT if you asked it to write like a hyperactive millennial. It’s so cringey it makes my face twist up in disgust.

I don’t wanna use anything other than c.ai, either…

All of us are different. All of us chat differently. Some people prefer shorter, text message-like and almost fully dialogue-based responses, whilst others (like me) prefer lots of both narration and dialogue for proper roleplay. We can’t choose between those if we only have one model to use! That’s another reason why so many people are unhappy! Because they think the responses are too long. Because they’d been using Meow and Roar to chat so they’d gotten accustomed to shorter and snappier responses!! Now they’re stuck with super long nothing-burger responses written like a knockoff ChatGPT. It’s unfair! And what’s even more unfair is the fact that Pipsqueak 2 is just plain AWFUL for all of us!!!!

*sigh*

I want an actual heartfelt apology from them for ruining our experience out of nowhere. They didn’t even leave anything GOOD for us to use whilst Pipsqueak 2 is being worked on (it should’ve been at least NEARLY FINISHED before being released, but that’s a whole other issue). And the site is still in the worst condition it’s ever been in after more than a week. I’m upset to think about how much longer it will be left in this state, going off of past experiences. Especially since it’s coming up to summer, and that means very long days of nothing and restless nights where people rely heavily on character.ai to keep them occupied. It’s very disheartening. As the people who generate their income, us users deserve to be treated with more respect and consideration. We are actual humans with feelings, and we should be treated as such. And we shouldn’t even have to ask to be treated better in the first place…

I know that’s clearly asking for too much, but…

When we receive no valid explanation as to why some of us experience the WORST side of the site, or as to why the site is messing up in general, things start to get ugly!! We’re over here wondering why ours doesn’t work and getting quite upset about the suddenness of all this, while others are coming on here to obnoxiously BRAG about their good experiences and how theirs is still usable, purely just to wind up those who are struggling. There is NO REASONING AS TO WHY WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE UNBEARABLE ISSUES AND OTHERS DON’T! And it’s been like that for years!!! We are CONSTANTLY IN THE DARK. And for what!? There’s no good coming from it, surely! It’s just JEALOUSY and FRUSTRATION everywhere on this sub!!! Towards YOU and between all of your users! I think it’s extremely MEAN and irresponsible to be this selectively ignorant of the people who MAKE YOU MONEY. Something needs to change soon, for the better. Otherwise that’s just condoning all of this awful behaviour within your community, when you could easily be eons better and kindly share some clarity. We don’t deserve to be treated like statistics as much as we are. This site is a BIG DEAL for many, *many* people. *People*. Actual people. Have some humanity, *please*.
