Vegans with partners that eat animal products

New vegan here. I have recently been educating myself on just how horrible the meat/egg/dairy industry is, which among other things, has ultimately led to me becoming vegan.

However, my husband still eats animal products and has no intention of changing that. All of our health/cleanliness products are vegan, so it’s really just the food thing, but I’ve noticed it kind of bothers me. So all you vegans out there with partners who consume animal products, how do you cope with it?

How do you take photos of people on the street and not feel uncomfortable about it?

I really love street photography and am inspired by artists that take photos of people just doing their thing, and I want to do that too! But something in me feels weird about photographing people unknowingly if that makes sense? At the same time, I feel like you don’t get that same raw emotion and story by asking someone if you can take their photo. Any advice?
