40mg to 80mg

I’ve been LOVING the emotional regulation and lift from anxiety/depression I get from Straterra. I feel my thoughts are clear and not interrupted by intrusive thoughts. It’s awesome. I’m on day 5 of 40mgs and thinking I may need a stronger dose as thus evening it’s been feeling like the focus is wearing off/anxiety crept in a bit more than the past few days. How did u like the jump from 40 to 80? Havent had any horrible side effects. Took at night once and had a bit of insomnia and a little heart burn a few days ago but than I ate a yogurt and my heart was fine. What’s ur take on jumping up a dose? Thinking maybe 40 2x a day could work well for me too

Anyone use stimulants with bipolar 1?

I’m adhd and bp1.. my doctors nervous to give stimulants and I just started on Straterra and it’s helping a ton w anxiety/depression/mood regulation alongside my vraylar… I could really use a stimulant or something similar to help w task initiation because I’m not inspired/lack willpower. Trouble starting up new things. Anyone have experience taking stims as a bipolar 1? How did they affect you? :did they ever cause mania?

ADHD med just changed my life lol

I started taking Straterra yesterday. It’s a non stimulant adhd drug. So far it’s blown my mind (in a good way). After just being diagnosed with adhd after 28 years I finally found something that really is helping my bipolar and adhd. I’m bipolar 1 w psychosis… Straterra calms me down and makes me think with one tab open instead of like 6. I don’t get hardly any anxiety and I can read through boring subjects and stay interested in them. It’s also helping with depression/suicidal ideation. Wow. Oh wow: it’s a game changer. If you have trouble staying focused and your thoughts go all over the place or interrupt your train of thought , this may be worth looking into. Currently on 40mgs and noticed the effects the first day on it. Ask any questions and I’ll get back to you w updates. Did have weird reaction (male) when wanking off but we’ll see how that is in the next month (8-12 weeks is the time frame to see full therapeutic effects of the drug) shit I can deal with a little temporary sexual side effect if I can work and get through my day with a great attitude.

Cheers bipolar fam. Keep trying the next med until you find what works !

Vraylar?

I’ve been on vraylar for about 2 years at many different doses- it seems to do nothing for me except prevent mania. Depressions tend to be consistent for me and the med doesn’t assist that at all for me. What’s your experience w vraylar?

It’s the one drug that I felt had no side effects so that’s why I’ve been on it so long. Sort of wondering if vraylar may be causing me the underlying depression or if it’s simply circumstantial - have a lot going on

Depression/Stress

Not feeling up to par… contemplating suicide within the next few months… long story… could use some stories of overcoming hardship to help me see the brighter side of life

I could elaborate on why I’m feeling this way but I catch a lot of poor judgement when I do….

How did u beat SI? What meds are working for you? I’m about to give up on doctors… trying so hard lol

Adderall/Vivance with antipsychotic

Seeking more focus/motivation for work and wondering do any of you see good results with mixing your psych meds w a stimulant like this? I’m aware it could cause lack of sleep but I really could use something to help me get through the day w some energy.. would likely get lunesta to sleep in case I can’t turn the mind off
