I had read horror stories of Polestars' doors getting scratched by valets as they think they work like a Tesla, and you can open them by putting the door on the pillar.
Very soon after getting the car, I had put a nice little message on the door : "Put key on handle to open" - see the picture.
I leave my car regularly to valets in NYC, and it got scratched a bit, but nothing major... Until Tuesday.
I left it at a valet, and got it back as shown on the picture, very badly scratched. Obviously, the valet didn't understand my message and went to town with the card on the door.
As it was dark in the garage, and there were a lot of people waiting when I got my car back, I didn't properly check on the spot, and only realized the extent of the damage the next day.
Does anyone have a good recommendation on how to buff this out? I will probably bring it to a professional, but wanted to ask for ideas first.
Does anyone have an idea what type of clear protection I could put here to avoid any further damage to the door? Thanks!
