For years, one of the biggest arguments for using an email client was storage and backup.

You could keep years of email locally, effectively limited by your computer's storage rather than your provider's mailbox quota. Plus, having a local copy felt like a safety net.

Now, most business email providers offer massive mailboxes, and reliable backups. At the same time, AI features are being built directly into webmail platforms.

So, do you still run Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, eM Client, Mailbird, etc.?

P.S: We have added an option for users to connect their non-branded email to their GreenmorMail accounts, offering our webmail as a partial web-based email client.

After trying multiple open-source mail stacks and existing reseller providers, we realised almost every option came with trade-offs around ownership, deliverability, maintenance, or pricing.

A few things we absolutely wanted to solve from day one:

1. Strong deliverability using AWS SES infrastructure
2. Ability to host your own database and connect your own SMTP server
3. Full white-labeling (domain, branding, logos, webmail, web app, MX records)
4. No platform maintenance fees or annual lock-ins, just per mailbox/add-on pricing
5. Modern features beyond inboxes (AI, outreach, prospecting, calendar, video calling, notes, E2EE, etc)

Currently, you can integrate with your Stripe, Razorpay or Cashfree gateways. We also made sure partners fully own the customer relationship, and that their clients are able to further white-label (partially).
