[2026 Build Plan] "Project Heavy Metal" - HAVN HS 420 | 13900K + RTX 4090 | Triple 420 Rads + Chrome Brass Hardline!

Hey everyone!

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on my dream loop and wanted to run my parts list by the community before I start ordering.

The goal here is maximum, whisper-quiet cooling with a super clean, mechanical "engine bay" look. Because I want those perfectly straight, industrial runs, I'm ditching plastic entirely and going with XSPC Chrome Brass tubing and rotary fittings. It's going to be heavy, completely overkill, and I cannot wait.

Here is the rundown for Project Heavy Metal:

🖥️ The Main Hardware

  • Case: HAVN HS 420 Mid-Tower (Using their vertical GPU mount w/ PCIe 5.0 riser)
  • CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
  • GPU: MSI Suprim GeForce RTX 4090 24GB
  • Mobo: MSI MPG Z790 CARBON MAX WIFI II
  • RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5-6000
  • PSU: CORSAIR RM1000e (with a set of CableMod Custom cables)

🌊 The Loop

  • CPU Block: Alphacool Eisblock XPX Pro Aurora Light
  • GPU Block: Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Acryl
  • Pump/Res: Alphacool Eisbecher Aurora D5 150mm
  • Radiators: 3x 420mm Total! (1x Alphacool UT60 on the floor, 2x ST30s for the top and side)
  • Fans: 10x Lian Li UNI Fan SL-Infinity 140s (6 Reverse blade for bottom/side intake, 4 Regular for top/rear exhaust)
  • Tubing: XSPC Rigid Brass Tubing (14mm OD, Chrome)
  • Fittings: Full XSPC ecosystem (Triple Seal fittings, 90s, 45s, and a matching chrome drain valve setup at the lowest point)
  • Coolant: Clear Pre-Mix (Probably Aquacomputer DP Ultra)

🥶 Thermal Upgrades (Bulletproofing it)

  • LGA1700 Contact Frame (Basically mandatory to keep the 13900K from bowing, going with Thermalright/Thermal Grizzly).
  • Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet on the 4090 GPU die (Hoping to eliminate pump-out entirely so I never have to crack this block open again).
  • Thermal Putty (UPSIREN U6 Pro) for the VRAM/VRMs to avoid any mounting pressure headaches/tolerance issues with the waterblock.
  • Gelid Ultimate 3mm pads for the backplate.

I've got my mini pipe cutter, heavy-duty metal reamer, and plenty of blue painter's tape ready so I don't scratch up the chrome during cuts.

Do you guys see any red flags or gotchas here? Anything I'm missing before I lock this in? Wish me luck on the 500mm straight waterfall drop from the top rad back to the reservoir!
