Salvageable?

I inherited this plant and it suffered forever until I realized it was rotting :( I have since removed everything and this is all that is left. I already know it’s so bad but I’m dedicated to trying to bring it back to life if possible, even if not I’m willing to experiment because it seems this dude is resilient.

For info: it was sprouting growth recently but they snapped and died (makes sense bc it was rotting) but this wasn’t long ago so I think it might be saveable. I was able to get the two main root systems cleaned up one looks more promising then the other but still rough.. thoughts opinions ideas pls. Consider this an experiment to see if they can be as close to death as this.

Has anyone used this sand?

Exactly what the title says I’m just redoing tanks and I’ve had slate and tiles. I have other tanks that are planted and want to try it with the axolotl tank but axolotls are weird do you think this is big enough to cause impaction? It says the biggest size in the bag could be 1.5 mm MAX they are small I’ve used it before but like ya. Thoughts?

How long do they last?

Hi everyone! So I got my ring (gen3) in 2024 and it will be officially 2 years old in September. I’m curious how long they are intended to last because I have recently been having a lot of issues with it. The biggest being that there are LARGE gaps (photo for example from yesterday). It’s messing up my data slightly and even giving me false heart rate readings when I do a manual check. (Edit: also yesterday I was at an event but sitting the entire time so I’m shocked it had no reading whatsoever)

I am guessing that it is just an old device or that my ring doesn’t fit as well anymore. For background - I also have Crohn’s disease and currently flairing so I have lost about 10/15 lbs the past month as well. The thing is that is somewhat normal for my flairs and while I have had this ring I have probably had 5 big flairs that were similar and I did not have any issues with my ring.

My family also just recently invested in rings and all have gen 4 which is a better fit so I’m wondering if maybe I should just get a new one.

I’m so sad that there is no exchange process, there should be just for the fact that I have no idea what to do with this ring if I get a new one. If the oura rep sees this- it would be smart to at least have an exchange process similar to iPhones where you have to still pay for the new one but maybe get some money off, more so at least take my old ring so that it could be recycled and used or refurbished. Idk lol I’m ranting now but I LOVE my ring I’m so sad this is happening.

Ok I marked this NSFW because I’m really only referring to sexual arousal butterflies. I’m female too btw. But anyway I’m curious if anyone else has this issue where when you are becoming aroused you get butterflies (normal) but then they turn into genuine demon butterflies and the pain comes so strong and then nausea hits like a train wreck. Genuinely I deal with pain somewhat frequently and I have bad bad flairs but this pain is genuinely one of the worst feelings. It kills the mood first of all because I’m instantly dying but also it causes me to be severely in pain the next few days and bloated (edit- also the pain comes without sex ever actually happening, sex itself hasn’t been an issue only arousal). I know because Crohn’s is the best disease ever this kind of makes sense but I’m wondering what you guys think. I’m thinking my fight or flight and stress response is just so bad it is killing the blood flow to my intenstines/ f-ing up my vagus nerve? Idek all I know is this is making my Crohn’s so much worse and being sexually aroused can cause a flair within HOURS. I already have no libido but this just is so bad for me, my mental health and social life have plummeted already and this just makes me more frustrated. Thanks everyone hope your not flairing

Sorry about the picture quality. For background I have autoimmune issues bad and currently cannot gain weight and losing a lot of muscle. This always makes my body hurt everywhere but recently my back has been having more sharp pain idk how to explain it. I tried looking at it through a video and it looks sooooo weird. Anyone know what’s going on? I’m certain it’s because I’m losing too much muscle quickly but what do I do I’m so frustrated with my health
