Feedback regarding online banking

To the Truist Customer Team,

I am writing to share some feedback regarding my recent experience trying to open a CD. No place on the Truist website to do this, so I thought maybe it would be more effective here.

The only reason I have a Truist account is because my wife used to work for the company. I still maintain both a checking and savings account with you, but I rarely visit a physical branch because I prefer to do all of my banking online.

Lately, it feels like Truist is constantly trying to push customers into branches. Whenever I do have to visit a location, I am met with a barrage of questions that take up too much of my time.

Today, I wanted to open a CD. Most modern banks post their current rates clearly online and allow existing account holders to set everything up digitally in a matter of minutes. Truist, however, does not make this easy. Instead of letting me complete the process online, your system requires me to go into a branch just to open the account.

I don't understand why Truist cannot make its online banking experience more seamless. As a long-time customer, I want a digital-first experience, not a mandate to visit a branch for standard financial tasks. I hope you will consider updating your online platform to better match industry standards.

Sincerely,

Chris
