What's the worst thing you've ever done to a Willie? (Accidental, purposeful, etc.)

What's the most atrocious thing you've ever put a Willie through? I get pretty vile on this game when I'm bored and I'm curious to see how many other psychopaths play this.

For me, there are multiple contenders.

I've broken all their bones, and then tossed them around.
I've stuck them full of blades and even chopped them up into as many bits as possible.
I've used Willie corpses to kill other Willie's, and often I'll throw two small ones at each other during carnage brawls.

I think the most "atrocious" thing I've ever done is "torture" a Willie in the hall map. I used the traps, took him, and by the leg just started spinning him around and slamming him into them as hard as I could, eventually it completely turned him into spaghetti and every limb he had was broken and stretched out, entire room was just covered in blood, it was horrific. If you've ever seen Terrifier, a lot of my Willie's end up looking a lot like the scenes in those movies.

Not sure this counts, but I've also mid-choke taken a rock and bashed a Willie's head in, but I feel like that's more... "Shh, go to sleep..." and less monstrous torture. Anywho.

Share!! I'm curious :^P

Advice, especially when dealing with APO Equalizer!

hi!! soooo, within the last ~2 or so days, I've been getting into using a voice changer to feel a bit more comfortable using voip in games that utilize it, and came across APO, which feels pretty limited. does anyone happen to know the best way to actually lighten my voice (or make myself sound more feminine) using it, or if there's a better alternative to equalizer. I went down a rabbit-hole of AI voicechangers but wasn't able to make the one I was eyeing actually work, and the video I was watching just wasn't specific enough for my case, since it was a bit different than the video (i.e., GPU differences and installation differences) I'm not super savvy when it comes to voice changers, and I'd like just some general advice towards what I should try and use, what would work best, etc. any and all advice is helpful, thank you :^) <3

^(p.s., happy pride month)

Horrible Connectivity and De-Sync, What's up?

Saw a post from about a year ago; that being from u/Terr1fyer (the original post here) which was discussing the poor server stability on DayZ, and I wanted to make a mention of it a year later, because it's now on my mind as of getting into DayZ.

I play NA (PC), and got really into DayZ recently because of soursweet. I enjoyed the PVP, and "realism" which got me intrigued, and eventually I bought it.

This game has fully pushed me to rush buying an ethernet cord to squeak out even the slightest amount of stability in servers. I don't play official, I play community, and yet even on NA servers, large ones at that, I can't find a stable connection. Doesn't matter the region, doesn't matter the time of day, the players, nothing changes the de-sync issues I run into. The amount of times I've died because my character's position hasn't updated after moving is diabolical. Only so much of the blame can be shared between the community server AND DayZ, or at least as I believe I understand it right now.

I'm new to DayZ, newer than most at least. I have been playing frequently, and I have a background in FPS so I've been learning rather quick. Maybe someone out there who is a more experienced player can tell me if this is new, or if this is just me, because nobody else I've spoken to seems to have any issues. Does DayZ not just have inherent connectivity issues? To me, it really seems like just another game that isn't optimized. (which is an entirely different debate, but optimizing isn't that hard for games. evil how many games don't run well in 2026)

I really like DayZ, but I can't play the game at all without running into connectivity issues, and like Terrifyer said, it really is similar to early 2000's gaming. It's truly insufferable, and I hate that, because this game is incredibly fun. I'd just like to know whether I'm crazy, or this isn't just a me thing. Is there some kind of community update that they've posted that I've been unaware of addressing some kind of recent issue? Is this just how DayZ is? Is this just my internet? I really want to get to the bottom of this and understand it because it's driving me insane.

Thank you!
