Scooping powdered creatine—do you pack it tightly in the scoop, or scoop it loosely?

Yes, I know this is a dumb question. Nevertheless:

The creatine powder I’ve been taking has a consistency of powdered sugar. I’ve been using the scoop that came with it to scoop a heaping scoopful, then pack it against the inside wall of the container making sure there’s no empty air space in the scoop, before dropping it into my liquid. Like packing a snowball good and tight before tossing it.

Didn’t think too much about it until a friend asked me what I was doing and told me I was just supposed to scoop and drop, not scoop, pack, and drop. That the 5mg per scoop was NOT based on packing that soft powder down until there was nothing but powder in that scoop.

Which of us is right? Or does it even matter since we’re probably only talking 1-2mg difference, if that?

Where to find fruit/veg breads like banana bread, pumpkin loaf, lemon loaf, zucchini bread?

Heinie’s has some good ones (the pumpkin chocolate chunk they sell in the fall is amazing) but I’m just tired of driving so far. The farmers markets and coffee shops have some but they tend to be smaller single servings when I’m looking for a loaf I can slice that will last a week (5-7 servings).

Just too lazy to bake my own and heat up my kitchen, ugh.

Anything comparable within 5 miles of downtown Denver?

How does extra skin weight factor into goal weight?

Has anyone who lost more than 70lbs had to refactor their goal weight to take into account their extra skin that isn’t snapping back?

At my thinnest healthiest weight I was 135. But that was three decades ago, and it looks like I’m on my way to losing 100+ pounds in total which means a lot of extra skin which has its own weight. So instead of my goal being 135, should it maybe be more like 150?

I’m currently at 173, and I’m thinking when I hit 150 I’ll go for a DEXA scan and let that guide me. I guess I’m just looking for others who’ve already been through this who might have advice?

And I know I’m supposed to wait one year after hitting goal before getting plastic surgery. But I’d like to start learning more about that now, so if anyone has seen any good videos, or knows of a good forum, please share. I tried the plasticsurgery subreddit but it was too broad.

I leave butt bone marks in the seats at the gym!

Bwahahahahaha you can see where my butt bones left indentations in the seats at the gym!!!! Yet another weird NSV to add to my growing collection… Will post a link to my last list of weird NSVs in the comments.

And oh yeah, today I also did my first sub-20min mile walk in YEARS. When I hit that one mile mark at 19:18 I nearly cried. What a day!

I’m going to do an IRA to Roth IRA conversion this year. When do I have to pay the taxes on it? It will be a substantial amount, so I will also be selling stock from my individual account (long-term capital gains) in order to pay these taxes… so I guess I also need to know when would I have to pay the capital gains taxes?

I would love to pay all of it later, as part of my 2027 income tax filing, but I’m afraid there may be some rules about having to pay in the same quarter that I do the conversion/sell the stock? I tried googling this but the Safe Harbor rule just confused the heck out of me.
