My partner and I are trying to organize and extended-family gathering for Christmas, and while we'll probably do dinner wherever we're staying, we want to be able to go out or (more likely) order take-out some of the other meals. Are restaurants on/near the island open that time of year? Or is is a "few and far between" situation?

(if it matters, I'm not looking for recommendations, I just want a sense of whether we'll have multiple options to choose from)

Does anyone have a state registration service/vendor they like?

We originally worked with Labyrinth and were quite happy with them, but not they're part of a larger company (Harbor Compliance) and the service has just been terrible.
