So tiny - so much trouble

So tiny - so much trouble

I guess what's actually started to do the work it wasn't that much trouble. End and was well under 2 hours. But something so tiny causing a big headache. At least I don't need to slide a screwdriver down a slot to move the wire to get it out of park anymore.

Fix and sell or just sell?

I have a 2005 Magnum RT AWD that has been sitting for a couple years after the pink thingy broke. I would start it every so often and go around the block, (using the ol' screwdriver down the slot trick) but stopped once all the airbag recall emails/calls/letters started.

That brings us to today. I finally replaced the pink thingy with an aluminum part, and of course the battery is dead. I popped the hood and looks like some critters ha take up residence and feasted on a bunch of wiring.

Here is my dilemma. I am finally ready to let it go, but also being a cheapskate I want to maximize the selling price as much as i can for a 21 year old car with 160k miles.

Do I:

a) try and track down a replacement wiring harness (PT# 5087391AC ?) and do the long and slow connector by connector swap?

b) sell as is?

c) call the dealership to tow the car in for recall work and get an estimate?
