First ever plant... did I kill her?:(
I'll spare the rambling & details, but I've never been a plant person for a few reasons. I decided to start trying. I did some Reddit research and concluded that I wanted to try out a pothos first because they're hard to kill... After some plant research, I picked this plant up from a local greenhouse in August. It was labeled "pothos brasil."
Today, I was informed that my beautiful lady is not a pothos, but is, in fact, a philodendron brasil. I watered her about once every two weeks when the soil seemed dry, pruned off some dead leaves and whatnot, and have been trying my best to take care of her. However, I feel like she doesn't look great? Did I accidentally kill her? It wasn't until today that I learned she was not a pothos.
Nights are getting cold so I'm hoping to bring her inside this evening. I'm going to pick up a terrocotta pot with drainage, some plant clips so she can spread out across the walls, and an indirect plant light. However, I want to make sure she isn't dead/dying/if there's anything else I need to buy at the store.
I took a back-to-back work trip and vacation with my husband. My parents took our dogs and fed our cats, but I completely forgot to ask them to water this girl, so that's on me. I'm worried I accidentally killed her :(
Any advice, tips, and kind comments are welcome 😄 particularly anything about moving her inside! I'm going to peruse this sub and YouTube to see how to switch her to a new pot to come inside. The soil guide pinned on this sub was very helpful. I'm excited to be here and start this journey!
