Hisense Warranty Help - Not Honoring Replacement As Promised

Has anyone been able to get Hisense to honor their warranty?

I have the 85U8, and exactly 3 months in to owning it at around 100 hours these 3 zones just quit.

Started a Hisense warranty claim to get it fixed or replaced. First time ever doing a warranty claim, and did not know what to expect.

Should have figured it was going to be rough when they said they couldn’t see damage when I sent those 2 pictures (the gray scale and pink) and only after I explained those zones shouldn’t be dark did they agree it was defective and someone can fix it.

They sent a tech out and to expedite the time it takes for a replacement, (email shown) they said they were just going to destroy the TV. I said sounds great because who doesn’t like a quick turnaround but I told the tech I would be cool if they just fixed the panel. He said it’s easier to destroy it and they will send me a replacement.

Sounds great to me, UNTIL now where they are saying they will not send me a replacement. I read the warranty that was in the box to them. But then they said that’s not the actual full warranty and they will send me the real one in the mail. Which I haven’t got yet so not sure what that would say different.

I have now escalated it and haven’t been able to talk to a higher up after that. Their customer service just closed 20 minutes ago and the rep told me I had to call back tomorrow.

So I’m just wondering if anyone has advice to help me get my TV replaced. Any help is appreciated for when I talk to them!

LG Gallery+ Thoughts and will I use it going forward.

I was given a 3 Month free trial to LG Gallery+ from their event. While signing up, I did see that you can also get a 1 month free trial, so please try it!

The idea of a screen saver is not new. But the idea of making it art and becoming a focal point of a TV not in use is become more of a trend.

LG has an extensive list of Gallery Options where anyone can find anything to fit their taste and blend in with their decor.

My favorite part and selling point of the subscription to me is the AI Create mode. This is what sets Gallery+ apart from anything else.

Simply talk into your remote and describe what you want to see and in about 15 seconds it is showing you the creation. I wanted to give Starry Night a more modern twist with a large skyscraper and more modern town. I am excited for my nephews and nieces to come over and see what they can create and will be using those as my go tos.

Other big selling part to me is the audio you can add to the atmosphere.

For those worried about burn in, you can set a timer for it to auto turn off, so if you having people over, you can set a power off timer for 3 hours. It also lets you determine the transition speed between your selection lowering the risk of burn in.

I was also able to put Gallery+ on the 65G5 and when I wasn't using it there, it was really easy to get it on the 83C4. My favorites carried over as well so that was nice.

Final thoughts, would I pay $5 a month every month for this? No. If they offered a $20 a year option, I would probably do that. But otherwise, I will probably keep it for sure over the winter holidays and then over the 4th of July when I have larger family gatherings.
