I have to bring my laptop occasionally when I commute, and I would love a tote that closes, is durable, looks professional, has good support and pockets, but not so huge that it looks like a boat on my shoulder.

I really love Kolo totes, but they’re not zippered. I was maybe looking at Madewell? But not sure if they will age well.
