What songs would you like to see the Xiu do, get as obvious, if that’s the right word, or as out of left field as you want. I was listening to the Fast Car cover and thought Pawn Shop Blues could be interesting and then listened to the Under Pressure cover and thought Why Can’t We Be Friends could be cool too.
What attracts you to and resonates with you when it comes to Xiu Xiu? They are definitely one of my biggest inspirations, and I think there’s no one who does it quite like them. I love how empathetic and accepting Jamie is, especially with the context provided in Drunken Commentaries. Regrettably, I went through some similar things in my childhood and listening has helped me come to view those things in similar lights.
I tend to ruminate on things so maybe getting it off my chest and hearing from people who might have similar experiences might help. During a recent scan, one of my neurofibromas came back with an FDG uptake of 10.2 which was previously 5.7. I’ve to see them for a follow up on the 2nd if it isn’t moved up, but I feel fairly left in the dark, especially with how serious this could possibly be.
I’m gonna preface this by saying I’m a man and that me specifying that will make sense at the end. I’ve been playing oblivion for about 10 years at this point, Skyrim was my first game in the series but the Wilburgur series and TheCantina’s videos about Oblivion being better made me want to try Oblivion. Though it took a while, I came to agree. Oblivion just has a charm to it that can’t be found in Skyrim for me. The example I was thinking of that inspired me to write this was in the Anvil Mages Guild recommendation quest when you speak to Arielle Jurard, she whispers that she’ll meet you in your room and then pretends you asked about the way to Cheydinhal to misdirect the rogue mage. There are many other examples but this is all to say whenever something like this happens I feel like I’m Todd Howard’s mom and he’s showing me a picture to be put up on the fridge; and whenever some glitch inevitably happens I make sure he knows I don’t blame him.
